Anne Shaughnessy

I have loved art since I was very young. One of my first recollections about my art was in kindergarten - my teacher told me that the principal wanted to see me. I remember feeling sick to my stomach and being so nervous going to her office! She quickly put my mind at ease by telling me that she loved the art I had produced in class and wanted to congratulate me!

I come from a family of talented artists, including my father who could sculpt wood and draw better than anyone I knew. He was inspirational in helping me develop my talent. Being a nature lover and animal lover, it's no surprise that these are my preferred subjects. Taking photographs of the landscape that surrounds me is also my passion, and taking those photos to the studio to paint is pure joy for me. I am lucky to be able to pursue my passion.

I am a self-taught artist, having taken only a few professional art classes in acrylic and pastel.

I hope you enjoy my paintings! I am also very willing to do commissions for any landscape scene you love, and turn it into an incredible painting that you will treasure for years.
