Artist Statement:
As a Canadian landscape painter, and in my own mind I am the grandson of famous Canadian landscape painter Tom Thompson. You can read all about it in my Autobiography shipped free with the purchase of all my paintings. Landscape oil paintings have always been my forte since my first oil painting at the age of eight. I draw my inspiration from another landscape painter and long-time artist friend that studied with the Group of Seven member Arthur Lismer. I am self-taught and believe my talent is a gift from the Creator, not something taught or learned.
I am in my early 80s and after painting for 72 years I still walk to my studio, climb the fifteen stairs to the loft, crack open a beer and paint for a few hours.
