About This Work
The day I visited the Taj Mahal, the weather was terrible. It was a damp February morning; it had been raining torrentially all night, and it was cold and windy. I had envisioned leaving Agra with a set of photographs of the white marble building glistening in the morning sun, but standing in front of it, I knew that wasn’t going to happen. After visiting the interior, I walked around the majestic walls of the Taj Mahal. The rain had stopped, and a dense fog was looming in. Away from the crowds that had taken over the main entrance, I sat in a quiet spot and photographed the silent building playing with the fog. In the end, I was pleased that my images revealed a different, moody side of this amazing building. Professionally printed on Baryta paper, the most enduring of photo papers, favoured by galleries and museums for more than 140 years and photographers love it for its quality and archival longevity. The artwork boasts bright whites, deep blacks and ultra-fine sharp details that bring the scene to life with stunning three-dimensional depth. The result is a luxurious print with an exquisite soft feel and tactile surface texture. The colours and tones of this stunning fine art print will look just as vibrant as the original, even after 100 years. Part of a limited edition of 25 Giclée prints, each accompanied by a certificate of authenticity, signed and numbered, ensuring its uniqueness and collectible value. The artwork includes a white border, making it easy to frame and display. Ships in a protective tube, carefully protected with acid-free paper, ensuring it reaches you in pristine condition. Don't hesitate to drop me a message if you have any questions about the artwork, or if you would like a different size or prefer a canvas print.
